Viktor Gyokeres scored his 16th goal of the season after Marek Rodak doubled Sky Blues’ lead from the edge of the box into the net.

Fulham substitutes Josh Onoma and Bobby de Cordova-Reid joined in the area in the 82nd minute, before Reid passed Simon Moore to make it 2-1, just before Callum O’Hare’s wrapped up the scoring in injury time.

The visitors had a chance to take the lead in the 9th minute when Gustavo Hammer’s curling shot was found in the back post by Jake Bidwell, but he failed to turn his attempt towards the goal.

The City team continued to attack and soon had a chance to break the barrier, Callum O’Hare played down the left side of the Gyokeres, brought the player in front into the box Fulham 1-3 Sky Blues and released an attempt, however Tosin Adarabioyo made a good block to divert it wide.
Mark Robbins’ players finally took the lead 20 minutes later, when Rose looked at a goal post on the swinging corner of the hammer and made it 1-0 with a slight deflection.
Four minutes later the score doubled, with Gyokeres taking the ball wide and passing Adarabioyo. His strong effort was beaten by Fulham keeper Marek Rodak to give the city a 2-0 lead.

The hosts began to put some pressure, and Simon Moore worked until the 30th minute, when Moore headed the ball past Alexander Mitrovic, the tournament’s leading scorer.
