Sriyantha Mendis is one of the most famous actors in Sri Lanka. Highly versatile actor from drama to comedy,The actor went to act in a Television drama called Palingu Menike, before making his silver screen debut in the 1987 H. D. Premaratne film Mangala Thagga.Mendis was born on 25 October in Ragama as the eldest of the family with three siblings.
Sriyantha mendis grandfather Hiddadura Juan Mendis was a devout Catholic.The actor balances films and teledramas as his profession. His wife is Kusum Renu a wellknown actress.After finishing education, Mendis along with fellow actor Senaka Perera started to produce a stage play Illeesa.

Kusum Renu was born on 30 January 1961 in Colombo and completed her education from Anula Vidyalaya.After the marriage in 1986, she took a break for the acting. She marked the comeback by winning Best Actress award at the State Drama Festival for the role in Deweni Mahinda in 1998. At the school times, she was a good sportswoman, a Girl Guide, a school prefect and a member of the school debating team.er maiden cinematic experience came through 1979 film Jeewana Kandulu, but was an uncredited role. She is best known for the role of Madhuri in the television sitcom Nonavaruni Mahathvaruni and the role Vishaka Samaranayake in the film Dharmayuddhaya.
